Hot chocolate, Anyone?

The paper this morning informs me that sub-zero temps are headed our way.........

not sub-freezing, but sub-fucking-zero!!

Time to stock up on firewood, break out the heavy sweaters, and maybe bring up the subject of that threesome you've always been curious about but never had the nerve to actually try.

Hey..........any port in a storm, eh?

At any rate, here's a hot chocolate recipe for those who might be entertaining over the holidays..........

Three boxes Hersheys Cocoa
1 five pound bag of sugar
5 gal. whole milk
2 gal half and half
1/2 gal. heavy cream
2 two oz. bottles pure vanilla extract

(the ratios of milk to half and half to cream are kind of arbitrary...........the more cream you use the smoother and richer this stuff is going to be......
you can also substitute a strong coffee for, I'd say, up to a gallon of the milk for a nice little caffeine boost and a rich aroma and flavor)

follow directions on cocoa box for mixing
be careful not to scorch

serve with little marshmallows or curls of shaved milk, white and dark chocolate or dollops of whipped cream or any garnish your heart desires

makes about 150 servings

This might rightfully belong in "Cooking with Gutz", but I thought I'd throw it in here so as to share it with as many people as possible.

Merry Christmas...........

Thus endeth the entry..........

That's enough hot cocoa to feed a third world country.
