Future history..........

Most of what I see as new and wondrous today comes as no real surprise. In the 50's and 60's, those dawn times of the computer and space ages, active imaginations created speculations and predictions that comprised to a great extent, remarkably accurate images of many of today's realities.

What not I, nor anybody else back then, would ever have believed in a thousand years was that, in the near future, people would pay as much for a bottle of fucking tap water as they would a bottle of soda.

"..........when skies are grey."

Twenty four years ago, give or take a few hours, I understood how two completely unique and separate things could occupy the same space.

The Physics of the heart.

Casey's death empties me like a husk...........My Daughter fills me entirely.

The Physics of the heart.

My Daughter's birthday was Tuesday, August 15th. I made her a pumpkin pie. (She doesn't like cake.) I remember the first time I saw her as though it were happening in the here and now.I can feel how full to bursting my heart became at that moment, how fiercely certain I was that I wanted no other thing in life but to be her Daddy. No less so than I was Casey's Daddy.

The Physics of the heart.

I wrote on her card............"I love you so much."
Infinity packed in a tiny sentence..........
E=MCsquared indeed.

The Physics of the heart.

"You'll never know, Dear,
How much I love you....."

The Heisenberg principle of the heart.

Happy Birthday Cassie......

With all my heart....

Daddy

A gift,.....

....by definition, may neither entail, in the giving, an obligation nor instill in the recipient a sense of obligation (aside from the customary courtesies).

Should it do either, it is no longer a gift. It becomes, in the former case, a business transaction; in the latter, a burden.
